Busfleet Australia is an accredited bus and coach operator based in inner Sydney. It hires vehicles and drivers to sports groups, tour operators, and private clients for all types of events and occasions.
Busfleet Australia had an expensive issue: the yard where their fleet of buses and coaches are parked was very dark. When customers and drivers returned vehicles late at night, visibility was often low. This resulted in collisions with walls, fences, and other vehicles; and, in turn, damage to their fleet costing thousands of dollars every week (not to mention the safety risk to staff and clients)!Â
The company needed a solution that would address this issue, while minimising disruption to its busy operations.
Saints Electrical supplied and installed two 200W LED floodlights, strategically positioned on posts on the edge of Busfleet’s property to illuminate their yard and the adjoining driveway.Â
The lights are controlled by a photoelectric sensor that operates when the sun goes down, ensuring the floodlights only operate when they are needed. The wiring for the new lights is suspended via a catenary wire between the posts, and features additional junction boxes placed strategically along the cable run to allow more lights to be installed later if required.

All works (including use of an elevated work platform) were completed ensuring minimal disruption to Busfleet’s operation, allowing vehicles to enter,exit and move around the site easily.
